Simon Hollamby has been the Chartering Director at Lomar Shipping since 1994.
His career in shipping began when he joined International Chartering PLC as a trainee broker in 1978. He became a member of the Baltic Exchange in 1979 and was appointed Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers in 1984. Having worked on numerous projects for major oil companies, including periods of employment in Egypt and Madagascar, he became a Director of International Chartering in 1985. In 1989 he joined Jebsen Bulk Carriers London as a Chartering Manager before moving to Jebsen Singapore as Managing Director. Simon returned to London in 1994 to start a new operating desk for Jebsens before taking up the role of Chartering Director at Lomar in the same year. During his time at Lomar Simon has seen the transformation of a predominantly reefer-based fleet into a large, highly diversified fleet.
