Savahna Nightingale
Communications Director
Savahna joined Lomar in 2022 as Communications Director, and oversees all areas of PR, including internal and external communications. An international broadcast producer and award-winning journalist, Savahna was most recently Global Head of Marketing and Communications at a leading shipping services provider handling a multi-million-ton cargo portfolio annually, across a nine-office global network.
A former presenter/producer for the BBC World Service, BBC World News and Bloomberg Africa, Savahna was the EMEA Senior Editor with IHS Markit’s M&T Publications, and reporter for Lloyd’s Shipping Economist.
Savahna holds a BSc in Maritime Business and Maritime Law and trained at the BBC in Multi-Media Communications. She also has a post-grad in journalism.
Outside of work, Savahna is passionate about philanthropy. She is an executive member of two NGO/Charitable Organisations supporting Education and founder of a Humanitarian programme with focus on mental, emotional and psychological wellbeing. She interviews leading experts, while engaging with Kings College London’s prestigious IOPPN - Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience. With her Comms and Media company Savahna has consulted at business and government level and engaged with the Clinton Global Initiative and Plan USA.
