LOMAR SHIPPING APPOINTS DENNIS PSACHOS AS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

London, Wednesday 4th May, 2022: Lomar Shipping, the shipping subsidiary of the Libra Group, has announced the appointment of Dennis Psachos as Chief Financial Officer. He will replace outgoing CFO Manos Kouligkas who has been promoted to a new role within Lomar’s parent company, the Libra Group, an international business group whose subsidiaries own and operate assets in more than 50 countries.

Dennis joined Lomar as its Deputy CFO in mid-December, and will now lead a financial team based at its London, United Kingdom headquarters and in Bremen, Germany.

Lomar’s CEO Nicholas Georgiou said, “We have been planning this transition for a considerable time and are delighted to confirm the appointment of Dennis Psachos, who brings extraordinary experience working within the shipping industry and our global markets. We also look forward to continue working with Manos Kouligkas in his new role at our parent company, the Libra Group.”

Dennis is currently based in Athens, but will relocate to London to join the Lomar team at its headquarters in Belgravia. He has 12 years of experience in shipping and was previously the CFO of Prime Marine, a prominent shipping company based in Athens that invests in and manages oil tankers and LPG carriers.

Earlier in his career, Dennis was the Financial Controller of OceanFreighters, a well-established Piraeus-based bulk-carrier owning and operating company, and prior to that, he was an External Auditor in the Shipping division of Ernst & Young’s offices in Athens and Oslo. Dennis is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA). He holds a MSc in Shipping from the University of Piraeus and a BSc in Economics from the University of Athens.
